“I’m a licensed professional teacher, dedicated and passionate about shaping young minds and nurturing the future generation. For years, I poured my heart and soul into my profession, finding joy and fulfillment both online and in the classroom. However, life has its own way of throwing unexpected curveballs, and I found myself at a daunting crossroads.
With bills to pay and a family to support, it was a difficult decision. I chose to leave the comforts of a teaching environment for the uncertainties of the corporate world. Yet, driven by a sense of adventure and a desire to explore new horizons, I took a leap of faith and joined ACS.
Transitioning from teaching to working as a virtual assistant has improved my life in numerous ways. It provides me with flexibility, reduced stress, a better work-life balance, diverse skill development, financial growth opportunities, independence, and a more personalized work environment. Working with professional clients, entrepreneurs, and small businesses across various industries and backgrounds greatly exposes me to a wide range of tasks and challenges. These experiences significantly expand both my skill set and knowledge base.
I’ve chosen to pursue my career here despite numerous questions about why I don’t teach in a public school. Yes, some may say, ‘You’ve just wasted your education and qualification.’ Others make comments like, ‘You’re falling behind your friends and batchmates success; now they have their own families, children, and homes, while you’re still struggling to find your path.’
What they fail to realize is that not everyone is given the opportunity to practice what they have mastered. Waiting isn’t an option when there’s a pressing need to work and support myself and my family financially. Not everything we want and plan for happens, and that’s not the end of the road. By exploring alternative avenues, you can find a place where you can leverage your strengths and passions. Not only does my career here at ACS bring me personal fulfillment and professional satisfaction, but it also provides me with stability and a renewed sense of purpose and belonging. I get to manage my finances responsibly and somehow support my family. For me, this job is more than just a paycheck – it is a lifeline.
